* On April 13, 2014, 500+ parishioners decided to follow the FULL Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christian Canons and Orders by being part of the spiritual structure of the Holy Synod in Ethiopia.
* First Full Divine Liturgy outside of the old church building was held on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
* With the blessing from His Grace Archbishop Abune Zecharias, the Church was named on May 17, 2014: Tserha Aryam Kidist Selassie (Holy Trinity) Church. At Kidist Selassie, Medhanealem's Holy Arc of Covenant is available for worship.
* Through dedicated efforts of the parishioners and the will of the Almighty God, the church building was bought on December 31, 2014. The parishioners worked night and day, alongside contractors, to demolish the interior walls and rebuild it into their place of worship. The Church building was consecrated on August 1 and 2, 2015, by His Grace Archbishop Abune Zecharias and His Grace Archbishop Abune Markos.
* His Holiness Abba Matthias I, Patriarch of Ethiopia, Archbishop of Axum & Echegue of the See of St. Tekle Haimanot visited the Church on December 19 and 20, 2015, and elevated its name to Re'ese Adbarat Tserha Aryam Kidist Selassie Cathedral, Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
